SonglyGift's homepage guarantee ("if it is still not right, we will give you a full refund") has no time limit; their terms limit refunds to 24 hours after purchase. The terms govern.
How SonglyGift works
You answer a short quiz, no card needed, and in two to three minutes SonglyGift writes lyrics and produces a preview. You can edit the lyrics before paying. If you like it you pay $34.99 and the full two to three minute MP3 arrives by email with a shareable gifting page. They say plainly that the songs are made with AI, which is to their credit.
Their FAQ says "Listen to the full preview, and only pay $34.99 if you love it." Note the word: the full preview, not the full song. We have not measured how long their preview is, so we will not put a number on it. Fourteen of their three-star-and-under reviewers describe buying after a partial clip and finding the problem in the part they had not heard.
If the song is wrong after paying, the fix is by email: "we'll create a new version for free, and if it's still not right, we'll give you a full refund." Two things to know. Their terms of service never mention revisions at all, so the promise is marketing rather than contract. And the refund the homepage offers without conditions is, in the terms, "available within 24 hours of purchase".

What SonglyGift does better
Stated fairly: it is $15 cheaper, and for a lot of people that is the whole decision. The preview comes fast. There is no card needed to try, and they say so louder than anyone. They display prices in several currencies and handle other languages. They sell an annual Gifting Pass for people who buy a lot of songs (its price is not shown before you buy, and it is capped at 500 songs a year). And they have 3,938 reviews on Trustpilot at 4.7, gathered in about eight months, which says the songs land: 49% of their positive reviews say the recipient loved it and 36% say it made them cry.
They are also open that the songs are made with AI. That honesty is worth noting because several of their rivals are not.
Before you order from either
- Hear the ending. Whatever you are previewing, listen to the last verse before you pay. That is where reviewers found the mistakes.
- Know the refund clock. SonglyGift: 24 hours from purchase, in the terms. BeatJar: no refund needed, because you pay after hearing it.
