How Unique Song works
You take a short quiz, give your email partway through, and a page tells you your free preview will appear at the end of a video. The preview is about 90 seconds, one verse of the recording. The page then offers to "unlock the full song": on the day we checked, $79 for 48-hour delivery or $119 for 30-minute delivery, with a $19 order bump for the lyrics as a PDF. So the lyrics, the part you would most want to check for a wrong name, are not shown before paying and cost extra after.
The preview page carries a "30-Day Money-Back Guarantee, no questions, no forms" and "Unlimited free revisions". The refund policy linked from the same site, fetched the same day, says something else: a full refund only if you cancel within two hours, half within 24, nothing after that, express orders "non-refundable and cannot be cancelled", and a heading that reads "No Refunds for Errors or Corrections". Revisions are "one (1) round of small edits" within 14 days; major changes "may incur an additional fee". The only places "unlimited free revision" appears as a deliverable are a $1,599 bundle and a $14,499 bundle.
Two more things from their own pages. The preview page shows a countdown, "Your queue spot is held 29:59", which is a 30-minute timer in the page code that restarts whenever you reload. And their terms describe a membership, $29.99 every four weeks billed as $89.97 every twelve, which "will automatically renew" after a 14-day trial unless cancelled. Surprise charges are one in five of their negative reviews.
Their pages say a "real songwriter" writes the lyrics and "music producers" record the song. The words AI or artificial intelligence do not appear anywhere on the site. Their terms call the deliverable "outputs".
How BeatJar works
You type the story. We write the lyrics from it and show them to you, and we play you the whole song, first line to last, before you pay. If the name is wrong, you see it and hear it before it costs anything. Change a line, change the genre, or walk away.
When it is right you pay from US$37.95, and that is the price: the lyrics, the full song and the revisions are included. You pick the delivery window at checkout, the shortest is about an hour, and the MP3 is yours to keep. There is no membership, no trial, and no timer. 28,500+ songs have gone out this way and the Trustpilot rating is 4.9 from 1,000+ reviews.
Hear yours all the way through, lyrics on screen, before you decide anything.

Unique Song review: what customers say they wish was different
From 103 Unique Song reviews at three stars or below on Trustpilot (of 1,776 in our July 2026 read), grouped by theme and paraphrased. Their five-star reviews, the large majority, say it made someone cry and captured the story from a short quiz.
46% of negative reviews
The song says "sixty" all the way through a fiftieth birthday song, and nobody has fixed it.
At BeatJar: you hear every line before paying, so the error never becomes your song.
41%
Sent five emails about one wrong word over two weeks. Marketing emails kept coming; support never did.
At BeatJar: a real person answers, and most reasons to write in are removed by hearing it first.
25%
Cancelled ten minutes after ordering and could not get a reply inside the two-hour refund window.
At BeatJar: there is no refund window to race, because you pay after hearing the song.
24%
Paid for a third verse and a bridge and received a two and a half minute song with neither.
At BeatJar: there are no verses sold separately. The song you hear is the song you get.
20%
Charged $89.97 two weeks after the order for a membership I never knowingly joined.
At BeatJar: no membership, no trial, one payment.
9%
The preview that sold me was better than the full song that arrived, and a revision came back as a different song with the same mistake.
At BeatJar: what you hear in the preview is the song. A revision changes what you asked for and keeps the rest.
What Unique Song does better
Stated fairly: they do give a free preview before payment, and their happiest customers credit it. They sell speed as a product, with 30-minute, 1-hour, 3-hour and 6-hour delivery slots, which suits someone in a panic with money to spend. They sell a Spotify and Apple Music placement, extra verses, a video version and a Spanish storefront, none of which BeatJar offers. They have 2,712 Trustpilot reviews at 4.8, and 34% of their positive reviews say the song made someone cry. Their business reply rate on negative reviews is high, at 68% in our read, even if the reply is a template asking the customer to email again.
If you want a named rush slot or a streaming placement and you are prepared to read the refund policy rather than the preview page, it can work.
Before you order from either
- Read the refund policy, not the guarantee badge. At Unique Song the two say different things, and the policy is what applies.
- Ask what the price includes. At Unique Song the lyrics, the full song, extra verses and speed are separate. At BeatJar the lyrics, the whole song and revisions are in the price.
- Look for the membership. Their terms describe an auto-renewing membership after a trial. Check your card statement after ordering.
- Hear the ending before you pay. At BeatJar you can. At Unique Song the preview is one verse.
Hear the whole song before you decide
Lyrics on screen, song start to finish, one price from US$37.95, and only if it is right.
You read the lyrics and hear a preview before you pay.
