An anniversary song for your wife, about the two of you
Not the song from the wedding. One with the place you met in the first verse, the number of years in the second, and the thing you have never quite said across the kitchen table in the chorus.
An anniversary song for your wife is an original song written from your own story: how you met, how many years, what she got you through, what you know about her now that you did not then. It is written from a few sentences you type, in the music you play together, with her name in the chorus. At BeatJar you read the lyrics and hear the whole song before paying anything, and it arrives as an MP3 for the dinner, the car, or the morning of.
Husbands write us anniversary stories in a particular shape: where they met (grade school, a Moose Lodge, a random email ten years after losing touch), a number (forty years, twenty, ten), the kids and the grandkids by name, and one line about what she is to him that he has clearly never said out loud. That last line is the chorus.
Every song on this page was made by a husband for an anniversary. Play one first.
Real anniversary songs made for a wife
Each one started as a few sentences typed into our form. Press play, then read the story it came from.
We met in grade school. Held hands behind the green thing. Dated all through high school. She hugged me after every football game. Got married after college. We had two great boys, Payne and Storm. We love to travel and watch them play sports. we have five grandchildren now. We love to ride side-by-sides in the mountains. She is my rock her touch put my mind in a quiet place. I wouldn’t want to spend the rest of my life with anyone else.
2The lyrics we wrote from it
We met back in grade school, holding hands behind that green thingYoung hearts dreaming of the future and everything it could bringThrough high school halls, our love never strayedAfter each game, you hugged me, in your arms, I stayedAmy, you're my rock, the calm in my stormWith you, I've found where I truly belongFrom first love to this life we've madeLove you, babe, like always, see you soon, I prayedCollege came and went, our vows were made anewTwo great boys, Payne and Storm, our love grew
Why the anniversary song is the one husbands order most
An anniversary already has a story attached; the song only has to tell it. Where you met, the year it got hard, the boys, the grandkids, the side-by-sides in the mountains, the little dogs. Husbands are not, on the whole, good at saying what their wife is to them across a table. They are, it turns out, very good at typing it into a form, and the song says it for them every year after.
The research points the same way. Algoe, Gable and Maisel (2010) found that small, specific expressions of gratitude between partners predict more connection and satisfaction the next day for both of them, and Gordon and colleagues (2012) found that partners who feel more appreciated become more appreciative in return, more committed, and more likely to still be together years later. The papers are listed at the bottom of the page.
For a milestone year
Ten, twenty, twenty-five, forty. The number goes in the verse; what it took goes in the chorus.
For what she carried
The kids, the house, your bad year. Name it and the song will.
After a hard year
Illness, distance, a rough patch. Say what you watched her get through and where you are now.
For the mother she is
Including the son she brought with her that you raised as your own. One of the songs here is that story.
For the dinner
Played at the table before dessert, or in the car on the way. The ones played in the car get played again.
For the thing you never say
Easier to type than to say. The song says it for you, every year.

What to put in the story
Where you met, the number of years, the kids by name, one hard thing you got through, and what she is to you. Here are three stories husbands sent us for an anniversary, exactly as they typed them. Each became a song you can play on this page.
A wife, since grade school
We met in grade school. Held hands behind the green thing. Dated all through high school. She hugged me after every football game. Got married after college. We had two great boys, Payne and Storm. We love to travel and watch them play sports. we have five grandchildren now. We love to ride side-by-sides in the mountains. She is my rock her touch put my mind in a quiet place. I wouldn't want to spend the rest of my life with anyone else.
A wife from the Moose Lodge
We met at Warrenton moose lodge. Our first date was at Applebee's. A few months later I proposed at home in our kitchen privately. She was recently in a bad relationship and didn't trust men. He left her with a son that I raised as my own. She blessed me with our second boy. She is the hardest working woman I've ever met. With the love of God, our family has been turned around and is closer than ever.
A wife, twenty years after one email
We met a long time ago, but drifted apart. 10 Years later a random email brought us back into each others life. We've now been together 20 years & Married for 3 years. She is the most Amazing person I have ever known. She has always been a wonderful influence & friend to my sons & is now an Amazing Gigi to our Grandson. I couldn't make it through life without her. After all of the hard times and rocky roads that we faced, we always came out on top. Of all of the Vacations & places that we've been, my favorite place is being home with her & our little dogs.
The green thing, Applebee's, a random email. None of these stories is polished and every one has a place, a number of years and the line he does not say out loud. That line is the chorus.
Which sound fits an anniversary song for your wife
You pick the genre, the feel and the voice on the order form, and you can change any of them after hearing the preview. If you are unsure:
Country, romantic or emotional, male vocal: the combination most of the songs on this page use.
R&B, emotional: warmer and slower, for a song about the hard years.
Acoustic: for a wife who does not like a big production, or for playing at the table.
A duet: when the song is about the two of you and you want to play it together.
Soulful country for a story that runs back decades, the way the grade-school one does.
If the anniversary is this week
The story takes about ten minutes to type, the lyrics and the song come back while you wait, and you choose the delivery window at checkout. The shortest is an hour, which covers the anniversary you remembered this morning.
Decide how you will play it: in the car on the way to dinner, or at the table before dessert. Have the place you met and the number of years ready; those are the two lines she will play back.

From a husband to his wife on an anniversary, country with a romantic or emotional feel and a male vocal is the usual choice: it sounds like him talking to her. R&B for a warmer, slower song about the hard years. A duet when the song is about the two of you and you want to play it together.
Have the memories ready? Ten minutes of typing is all it takes.
Wow! What an amazing and powerful song. It is way beyond my expectations and at a price that is hard to believe. This will be the best anniversary gift I ever gave my wife including jewelry. I never thought our journey together could sound so romantic. It got me all choked up when I first heard it. Actually, still does every time. So glad I got the printed lyrics too. Now, it’s killing me to have to wait a week to play it for my wife on our anniversary. There are several companies like Beatjar on the internet, but I can’t imagine any of them could do a better job or be so cooperative every step of the way.
Thanks Erik.

The song was for my wife, for our anniversary. I gave them some key elements to include in the song and they nailed it. Her name, how we first got together, how long we've been married and so forth. You get to pick whether you want a male or female singer, what musical genre you want (I went with a female singing in a Country Music style) and they take it from there. As the song is being produced, they'll email you and offer to have your song ready faster for an additional upcharge but that's just good marketing and to be expected. In the end, it was very professional sounding, and it brought huge tears to my wife's eyes.
You can't beat the price and the quality. Just do it !!

I got the song for my wife because it was our 47th anniversary. We both absolutely love it. We were sitting on the couch when I surprised her by playing it. At first, she was mostly ignoring it; but things started to sound familiar and soon she was really listening closely. She'd just taken a sip of coffee when the song mentioned her name, and she almost choked on it. Then, she couldn't stop crying. Neither could I. The song is wonderful, and we've listened to it over and over again. We shared it on Facebook and have had a whole lot of reactions and comments. Everybody else loves it too! Facebook even sent me a notice that it's been viewed over 100 times. Sounds like our song went viral!! It's so professionally produced that I can't believe it didn't cost way more than it did. I sincerely believe that in 47 years the song is the best Anniversary gift I ever got for my wife. I'll definitely be doing it again some time or another.

Danced with my wife in the living room the first time she heard her song for our anniversary. The tears were flowing. This was a great experience. She wrote this on her social media, “ the most beautiful part isn’t the song itself. It is you thought of me sat down, and turned your love for me into music!

A Heartfelt Recommendation for Beat Jar
I highly recommend Beat Jar to anyone looking for something truly special and personal for an important occasion.
My wife and I are celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary, and I wanted to give her something meaningful that captured our story and our life together. After doing a tremendous amount of research on companies that create personalized songs, I chose Beat Jar. From the beginning, I felt that they were the right company for us.
What really impressed me was how professional and accommodating they were throughout the entire process. I chose Soft Rock, Anniversary, and Romantic as the styles and themes, and I provided Beat Jar with lots of information about my wife, our relationship, and our life together. They took all of that information and turned it into a beautiful song with personalized lyrics. It was really unbelievable.
The song was awesome. In fact, when my four daughters heard it before our anniversary it brought them to tears. I can't wait to give it to my wife on Friday night for our anniversary.
I also want to emphasize something that was extremely important to me: Beat Jar takes care of you.
I initially had a difficult time understanding exactly how the process worked. I didn't know what to expect or how everything came together. But I trusted Erik at Beat Jar, and he fulfilled my every wish. He and the Beat Jar team walked me through the process, answered my questions, listened to my ideas, and made sure I understood everything. They were willing to work with me until I was happy, and that gave me tremendous peace of mind.
I even made a few changes to the lyrics so they would better match our own story. Beat Jar welcomed my input and made the experience feel like a collaboration rather than simply ordering a product.
They also offer features that made the experience even better, including rush service, digital downloads, unlimited revisions, and completely personalized songs. Whether you are celebrating an anniversary, birthday, wedding, or another special occasion, they have different musical styles and options to help make the song fit your situation.
I have done the research for you. I looked at many companies before choosing Beat Jar, and I am so glad I did.
If you are considering a personalized song for someone special, I definitely recommend Beat Jar. They are professional, patient, creative, and genuinely committed to making sure you are happy. Most importantly, they will take care of you.
For my 50th wedding anniversary, Beat Jar helped me create something I know my wife and family will remember for the rest of our lives.
I highly recommend Beat Jar. They are the best!

I wanted more input regarding the lyrics. On the third revision it felt like the song actually came from me. My wife was moved to tears. I printed the lyrics which are framed and proudly displayed. I was concerned the end result may be too "hokey", but it ended up being one of the best anniversary gifts over our 47 years. Thanks!

I gave my thoughts of my wife of 50 years. God sent me a guardian angel in 1976 and she has cared for me in sickness and health. Beat Jar captured my thoughts and a perfect country song that caused her “eyes and heart to overflow with tears”. I am a 1000 miles away so was unable to see it but she told me. Fantastic service.

I received the song while my wife and I were having dinner. I waited for us to finish. I didn’t want her to hear it just like that. I want to play it on a special day. After dinner I casually went to the living room and put on my head phones, closed my eyes and listened to the song. Oh my God I found myself sobbing, tears welling in my eyes. The song put together 57 years of our lives together . Now I just have to find that special time when I will share the Song for Lourdes!!

I saw the BeatJar ad online many times but I just kind of thought about it and after many passes to try it for my wife and our anniversary I finally tried it and it turned out way better than I thought it would and after posting the song on my Facebook page, my wife's niece texted her saying that she has the most romantic husband for doing that song for her. I picked the type of music and with so many types to choose from on the beatjar site. then I wrote the story of us and when we first met 26 years ago and Whoever the singers were did such a great job and had absolutely the nicest professional voices. This is a very different gift of love for your wife or any one in your life you love or just friends.

I had a song created for my wife to give to her on our 55th wedding anniversary. One of the best gifts ever, well worth it. The look on her face and the tears in her eyes. Thank you for your creative words.
