Absolutely! You can request unlimited revisions if you'd like changes to the lyrics or musical style. Simply use the link in your song delivery email to request changes anytime. Our goal is to create a song that perfectly captures your story and emotions.

Your song is sung from the lyrics

The lyrics are the actual words your song sings. The story is just the inspiration we use to write those lyrics. So changing your story on its own will not change your song. To change what your song says, you need to change the lyrics.

Change the words (lyrics)

This is what most people want, and there are two ways to do it:

1.Edit the lyrics directly in the lyrics box. Type exactly what you want sung.
2.Update your story, then press "Rewrite from the new story". We rewrite the lyrics to match, and you can review them before submitting.

Editing the story without doing one of these will not change the words. If you try to submit after only changing the story, we will remind you and offer to rewrite the lyrics for you.

Change the music

Pick a different genre or style to change the sound and mood, or a different vocalist (male, female, or a duet). We record a fresh version of your song in the new sound, with the same lyrics.

Fix how a name is pronounced

If a name, nickname, place, or unusual word is sung wrong, the Pronunciation Guide fixes it. This is the most common reason people revise, and it takes about ten seconds.

How to use it

1Press "Add Pronunciation".
2In "Original word", type the name exactly as it is written (for example, Siobhan).
3In "How to pronounce", sound it out the way it should be said (for example, Shiv-awn). Not sure how to spell it? Press "Get AI Help" and we will suggest a spelling for you.

Tips for the best result

Break the name into syllables with dashes, the way you would say it out loud.
Add one row per name. You can add as many as you need.
Use it for names, nicknames, places, or any word the song got wrong.
Type the original name exactly as it appears, spaces and all, so we match it correctly.

Update the details

You can also fine-tune the smaller pieces:

Song title: the name shown on your song page and files.
Who it is for: the recipient's name, your relationship, and the occasion.
Special message: a short dedication that can appear with your song.

Changing the recipient's name or the title on its own updates those details. To hear a new name inside the song, also rewrite the lyrics so it is woven in.

Own the Story EP? Here is how it fits in

Your EP versions are the same song, the same words, performed in different musical settings. One simple rule ties everything together: every version always sings your song's current lyrics.

Change the words or voice: your main song is re-made, and every EP version re-records automatically to match. Nothing for you to do, they arrive together on your delivery schedule.
Change only the music style of the main song: your EP versions keep their own settings and stay exactly as they are.
Swap an EP version's style: pick a different setting for any version in the Story EP section of the revision form. It re-records free with your current words and arrives on your delivery plan's schedule. Your current version keeps playing until the new one lands.

One swap is prepared at a time. Once it arrives, you can swap again, free. And nothing is ever lost: every recording you have had is kept, so if you miss an earlier version, just reply to any of our emails and we will bring it back.

"I changed my story but my song sounds the same"

This is the most common mix-up. You updated the story, but the lyrics were never rewritten from it, so the new version still sings the old words. The fix takes one tap: press "Rewrite from the new story", check the lyrics look right, then submit.

After you submit

We create a fresh version of your song with your changes and email you when it is ready. Delivery time matches your order's speed. You can keep revising until it feels right, with your included free revisions.
